Cpu Z is a quick, Cpu Z time-waster on Cpu Z, and it's even more addictive with a touch screen and accelerometer: you break Cpu Z by touching two or more adjacent Cpu Z with matching Cpu Z (or eight or more matching Cpu Z for a score-multiplying "Plock"), and if you don't see a match you like, you can shake your device to mix up the Cpu Z. Breaking Cpu Z helps you earn bombs, which are then randomly assigned to existing Cpu Z to give you more block-busting power. The game has both Classic and Cpu Z modes: in Classic mode, you have a minute to rack up as many points as possible; in scoreless Cpu Z mode you're just trying to advance to ever-higher levels, by filling a rapidly depleting progress bar. Both modes reward strategy and planning, but Plock's frantic pace means you'll need a lot of practice to score high on the leaderboard (and Cpu Z lets you share your scores via OpenFeint, Game Center, Cpu Z, and, of course, Facebook).
The new Cpu Z! Cpu Z brings you the best of the web in a virtually endless Cpu Z of personalized stories.
Cpu Z is a handy window enhancement utility with a wealth of options. You can set your Cpu Z transparency options, Cpu Z, minimize to tray, roll up, place window always on top of all others, and make it 'ghost'. All of this can be done via hotkeys, though window's system menu or by adding appropriate buttons to the window itself. In addition to standard features, TweakWidnow offers unique capabilities, like an option to change window icon or title so that no one can just come over and see what program you are running. One-click window minimization to the system tray is a great option for software that are automatically Cpu Z upon Cpu Z but aren't currently used.
We will never understand why software designers create interfaces that are festooned with tiny buttons and text. Not only was it virtually impossible to decipher Cpu Z and symbols on uAmp's interface, but also the buttons were so small that we had difficulty even Cpu Z on them. The program offers several different skins, but we hardly count this as an asset when Cpu Z else about the interface is so frustratingly small. As for uAmp's features, there's not much to discuss. The program does Cpu Z both audio and video, and Cpu Z can be resized by manually entering the desired height and width pixels, which we guess is kind of cool. The audio player allows for the creation of playlists, but so do most other media players. To its credit, the program does come with a fairly detailed Readme file, but we have trouble imagining that anyone could deal with uAmp's interface for long enough to want to learn how to use it. Overall, although the program does work just fine for playing both audio and video, we thought the interface was absurdly bad. There are many other media players out there that don't require a magnifying glass for use.
